"El Paso Del Tiempo" 2023 Mural- Groundswell Paint Day and Mural Dedication in Bushwick

Groundswell NYC brought the community together for a mural dedication and paint day at the Food Bazaar on Wyckoff Avenue in Bushwick, unveiling the vibrant mural titled “Making His’tory: El Paso Del Tiempo.” 

The piece was designed and led by Raúl Ayala with assistance from Carlos Mateu, and it celebrates cultural resilience, shared histories, and the power of collective creativity.

Youth artists and community members participated in painting the mural, reinforcing Groundswell’s mission of using collaborative public art as a tool for expression and connection.
