People Are Beautiful: Art Exhibition
Groundswell is pleased to present "People Are Beautiful", a group exhibition exploring depictions of the human figure born from a series of community building events. From whimsical to studious, abstract to academic, these portraits reflect the variety of imagination that the human form ignites.
Long used as a tool for developing technical drawing skills, the figure drawing sessions hosted at Groundswell also created space for a shared community through play and exploration. The individuality of the human form captured on paper reflects not only the beauty of each model but also of the artist behind each work of art and the unique perspective they bring to the group.
People Are Beautiful: Art Reception to be held on Friday, July 7th at the Groundswell Studio, 540 President Street, Suite 1A, Brooklyn, NY 11215 from 7pm-10pm.
