Jonathan Howard Katz

Jonathan Howard Katz is a Brooklyn-based composer, pianist, and arts entrepreneur. He co-founded the performing arts nonprofit Periapsis Music and Dance and served as executive and artistic director throughout its decade-long run, building and maintaining support from a portfolio of government, foundation, corporate, and individual donors and initiating a wide variety of programs to enrich the NYC arts community. He has also taught extensively at the university/conservatory level, most recently at NYU Tisch. He holds a doctorate in piano performance from Northwestern University and degrees from New England Conservatory and Indiana University.
