Associate Director of Institutional Giving

Sabrina Malik

Sabrina Malik joined the Groundswell team in April 2017, bringing over 10 years of experience in fund development, administration, and youth development. As Associate Director of Institutional Giving, she manages relationships with Groundswell’s Government and Foundation supporters and partners, and contributes to an organization culture of collaboration between Development and Programs. She is dedicated to fostering impactful connections with Groundswell’s stakeholders while applying a social justice lens to all areas of organizational work.

Malik previously served as Grants Manager at the National Guild for Community Arts Education, where she created and managed a comprehensive development plan and implemented database-driven strategies. Her prior experiences in the arts hail from a variety of settings, both in the US and abroad, including an art park, studio, gallery, teaching guild, private collection, and museum. Malik holds a BFA in Art History and an MA in Arts Administration from Syracuse University.

She is a practicing visual artist, currently working with ceramics and textiles. She lives in Bed-Stuy with a reasonable and totally normal number of plants.
