At Groundswell, we believe in the transformative power of art and its ability to create positive change within communities. That's why we are thrilled to announce our Open Call for Artists! We are actively seeking creative and experienced Teaching Artists and Muralists who share our deep commitment to community-based social justice work.

We seek artists who possess not only technical skills but also a deep-rooted commitment to principles of justice. If you have a strong background or interest in mural arts, illustration, printmaking, graphic design, photography, video production, animation, or mixed media, we encourage you to apply. Groundswell offers a supportive and inclusive environment that nurtures artistic growth and fosters meaningful connections among artists and the communities we serve.

Interested in learning more about Groundswell? Join us for our Open Studios Figure Drawing Workshop on June 16th, from 6-9pm, at Groundswell's Studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn (540 President St., #1A). This event provides an excellent opportunity to gain insight into our organization, meet members of our team, and create art together. All materials will be provided at this live drawing event.
