Alyssa Hollins

Alyssa Hollins joined Groundswell as the Project Manager of Public Art in 2016. Alyssa is a writer and filmmaker who has previously worked as the Beespace Fellow for VotRunLead, and the Urban Education Fellow at the Young Women’s Leadership Network. She earned a M.A. in Urban Studies at Fordham University, where her studies focused on the evolution of Black consciousness in the New World. As an undergraduate, Alyssa participated as a McNair Scholar and set a record for three-pointers made in a season on the Women’s Basketball team. Her poetry has been published in No, Dear Magazine, Puerto del Sol’s New Black Voices Series, About Place Journal and Brooklyn Magazine.
