Kerri Gawryn

Kerri Gawryn is an an accomplished nonprofit professional from the California Bay Area and has worked for over a decade as head of development for various arts and culture organizations. In her roles as development director and development consultant, she has gained wealth of experience leading development planing and strategy efforts, donor relations, and fundraising operations.

In California, she made two award-winning documentary films. EXPOSING HOMELESSNESS chronicled the experiences of three formely homeless women as they learned to express themselves and educate others about homelessness through the art of photography. A LOVELY DAY, a feature length documentary, followed nine youth immersed in a six-month Hip Hop music therapy workshop in Oakland, CA.

In 2018, she moved to New York City where she expanded her filmmaking endeavors, while working as a teaching artist for young filmmakers. Her current creative ventures include a narrative feature film about youth and female empowerment, and a documentary about animals and healing. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Media Studies and one in Visual Anthropology as well as a Master of Science degree in Media Management.
