Sarah Katz

Sarah is a licensed social worker and enthusiastic doodler with experience in programming, facilitation, operations, and therapeutic practice in various non-profit and youth organizations. Before joining Groundswell in 2020, Sarah worked at a community-based mental health clinic in Brooklyn focused on multi-dimensional and anti-oppressive clinical work with young people and families. Sarah is passionate about youth expression, healing spaces, and justice, and feels honored to support community arts and activism through the management of Groundswell’s school programs. Sarah holds a B.A. in Sociology from Vanderbilt University, an M.S.W. from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, and remains committed to continuous learning outside of these institutions.
